Go and find that spot.
A wave only picks you up if you are paddling for the beach as it reaches you.
Sit right where it is about to break and you drop into the pocket for full points.
Too far out on the fat shoulder and it rolls under you. Sit inside and you only get
the whitewater — you will still ride it in, but it is worth two or three at best.
Riding: steer to stay just ahead of the breaking part. Let it catch you and
you are eaten; run too far ahead and the wave dies under you.
